Local high school football teams in Tracy and Mountain House experienced a tough Friday night, with all four teams facing losses. Kimball High's homecoming at Don Nicholson Stadium was overshadowed by a dominant performance from the Lodi High Flames, who rolled past the Jaguars 48-6, leaving Kimball winless for the season.

The Flames quickly took control, marching down the field for a touchdown on their opening possession and adding two more scores to establish a 21-0 lead after the first quarter. Lodi's strong running game consistently wore down the Jaguars' defense, while Kimball's offense struggled to find rhythm against the Flame's defensive line.

Kimball managed to get on the scoreboard with 3:36 left in the first half. The scoring play began with senior quarterback Everardo Mendoza handing the ball off to junior Brayden Shahuri, who then executed a reverse to freshman Ashton Ortega. Ortega advanced along the right side of the line, looking downfield before throwing a strike to junior Wyatt near the 15-yard line. Wyatt evaded Lodi High defenders to score Kimball's only points of the game, though the extra point was missed. Lodi went on to add three more touchdowns, securing their 48-6 victory. Kimball’s final drive saw Wyatt pushed out of bounds short of the goal line as time expired. The loss drops Kimball to an 0-3 record in the Tri-City Athletic League and 0-8 overall. The Jaguars are scheduled to travel to Stockton to face the Edison High Vikings this coming Friday.

Elsewhere, the Tracy High Bulldogs were overpowered by the Lincoln High Trojans in a 42-7 loss in Stockton. The game started as a defensive battle, with Lincoln holding a narrow 6-0 lead at halftime. However, the Trojans erupted in the second half, scoring one touchdown in the third quarter and an additional 29 points in the fourth. Tracy High's single score came from a kickoff return touchdown by senior Maddix Severson. The Bulldogs' loss puts their Tri-City Athletic League record at 1-2 and their overall season record at 6-2. Tracy High will host the St. Mary’s Rams next week at Wayne Schneider Stadium.

The West High Wolf Pack was held off the scoreboard in their game against the Chavez High Titans, losing 49-0 on Friday in Stockton. This defeat places West at 1-4 in the San Joaquin Athletic Association League and 3-5 overall. West will host the Tokay Tigers on Friday at Steve Lopez Stadium.

In Mountain House, the Mustangs also faced a challenging night, losing to the East Union Lancers 49-6 at home. This loss keeps Mountain House winless in the Valley Oak League, with an 0-5 record, and their overall season record stands at 1-8. The Mustangs will next face the Oakdale High Mustangs at Oakdale on Friday.
